Little Helpers...
Vanya sent me these pictures from the day last month when we took down the old trampoline and put up the new one. Of course, we had a lot of little helpers! It is such a joy to work with these precious children in our neighborhood. Leanna told me today that she had 27 kids at her Bible class! I asked if she took a picture and she said, "I had 27 kids. I had NO hands to take a picture!"

Vanya and I bought wood to repair some of the flower boxes in the garden. Before painting we have to sand the lumber. A couple of the Sparrow's Hope boys were at the worship room playing and I told them to come out and get their picture made "pretending that they were working!" After the pictures they finished sanding all the wood. (I learned that from Tom Sawyer!) My neighbor, Dedushka Peter, also came by and helped out. He lives in the apartment above the worship room. He said I interrupted his nap so he came to check on me! The boys stayed for Bible class last night as well.
Visiting at the Baby Hospital
Visiting the Baby Hospital is always a joy, due to the love and care the children are given by Dr. Sergei Korotya and his staff. (It also creates mixed emotions and incredulity that people could throw away their children!) After so many years of working with the abandoned children it still tugs at my heart to see the kids. One of the little girls is being adopted soon by Ukrainian parents - and the soon to be mother visits all the time. Thanks to our sponsors who so faithfully provide the funds necessary to provide help for these precious children.
