Winter finally ended at the beginning of April! Spring is in full swing, trees are full of leaves and flowers are blooming everywhere. The warmer weather is a welcomed friend.
Kenny is teaching a lot of classes each week at Grinchenko University. While the classes are all for English practice - students need to interact with native speakers - the topics lend themselves to discussions about faith, Jesus and the wonder of life.
Our small groups for teens (Friday nights) and young adults (Sunday nights) continue to be times of food, fun and fellowship as well as giving teaching opportunities.
Lora has been working hard to make our apartment feel like home and become a hospitable and welcoming meeting place for our friends.
Thanks for your support and prayers for our work. We are so grateful to have such faithful minstry partners!

First Month In Kiev
We have been in Kiev for one month today. Sometimes in the busyness of each day we do not share with you all what is happening. Here is a recap of our first month's activities...
Lora has been busy turning our bare apartment into a wonderful living space and a welcoming entertaining place! (Kenny has helped a little with this project).
Kenny has been helping Kostya Farkovets complete the renovation of his new apartment - the builders completed the shell, Kostya was responsible for everything else!
Kenny visited a local university - Kiev University (named after) Boris Grinchenko. Kenny has already taught two faculty English classes (for teachers who are learning English) this week, and he will teach four Junior level classes next week. In addition he is working with the dean of the English department to develop other teaching opportunities. This could turn into a great ministry site!
Lexi and Kenny attended a "Teen Leadership Camp" at KUBG on Thursday of last week. There were about 20 high school students attending the camp.
The Paynes are hosting Youth Group meetings on Friday nights and Young Adult small group meetings on Sunday nights. Both of these events are off to a great start.
We have been visiting a several different local churches with friends in Kiev on Sunday mornings. The winter weather was pretty active until late last week!
Thanks for being such faithful ministry partners! Please continue to pray for us as we are reaching out to new people in Kiev!
